DONUT with Coconut Milk Sauce :: Sobha Muraly


    Maida 300gm
    Baking Soda Half Teaspoon
    Baking Powder 1 Teaspoon
    Salt a pinch
    Egg One
    Powdered Sugar 1 Cup
    Vanilla Essence 1 Teaspoon
    Curd 1 Tablespoon
    Coconut Milk 1 Tablespoon
    Oil for frying

    • Mix all dry ingredients well, beat egg to thick froth. 
    • Add all liquid ingredients with the beaten egg and knead well. 
    • Refrigerate for 1 hr. 
    • Take out and make balls (size of a small orange). 
    • Flatten the balls with hands so that the balls turns to round shape of 1 cm thick and pierce the center with small bottle cap. 
    • Fry the donuts in medium heat oil till golden brown. 
    • Serve with sauce of desired flavor.  

    For Sauce: 
    Mix half cup of Coconut Milk with half teaspoon of corn flour, 5 drops of Vanila essence and 1 spoon of sugar. Boil till the sauce is thick. Cool and serve with donuts.
